Byron L. Mills is a partner and managing member of Mills & Anderson, a well-respected family law firm in Nevada. He has become well known in Clark County as a litigator in the local family courts.
A fifth generation native of Nevada, Byron Mills started working at his father’s law firm in 1987 as a runner before becoming a law clerk. Upon graduating law school in 1998, he joined the firm as an associate, then known as Lamond R. Mills & Associates, L.L.C.
He is very comfortable in the family courts. For more than 15 years, he has put his extensive knowledge and experience to work for his clients.
Focused on family law matters, Byron Mills handles all areas of family law, such as divorce, custody, child support, grandparent rights, guardianships, termination of parental rights, and adoptions. He has taken numerous cases to trial in the Family Division of the Nevada Eighth Judicial District Court.
He has appealed several cases to the Nevada Supreme Court. Byron L. Mill has briefed and argued before U.S. District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco.
One of the things that sets Byron Mills apart from other attorneys is his degree in Business Management and Finance. This experience has helped him in representing clients that own businesses and have numerous assets, whether in divorces or other family matters.
With his practice having such an emphasis on family law matters, he handles everything from complicated situations with issues involving custody and business properties as well as simple, uncontested cases.
He is active in the legal community as a member of the Nevada State Bar and the Clark County Bar Association. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Management/Finance from Brigham Young University in 1995, he earned his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, NE in 1998.
