Gregory S. Mills, Esq.* is an experienced and well-respected advocate in the legal community. He is a fifth generation native of Nevada and he comes from a family of attorneys. He uses his extensive knowledge of the Las Vegas legal community and court system to help each of his clients. Gregory grew up watching and then participating with his father, Lamond R Mills, Esq on major federal cases. When he was young, it was not uncommon for Gregory to go watch his father in a trial. When he turned sixteen, Gregory was hired as a runner for not only his father’s firm but for other attorneys. He worked his way up through every position in a law firm until he became an attorney.
Gregory* Mills has focused his practice on dealing with the most difficult and hotly contested issues that arise not only in the family law arena, but also personal injury and other civil law matters. In addition, Gregory* has done trials involving personal injury, civil business disputes, criminal cases, restraining orders and every type of domestic family law case.
During his career, Gregory Mills* has represented individuals in over 1,000 child abuse and neglect cases in the Eighth Judicial District Court. In these child abuse and neglect cases, he has represented the parents, children, grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins and even case workers. Moreover, Gregory* has written several appeal briefs filed in the Nevada Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has argued before the Nevada Supreme Court’s full panel of judges. In addition, he has argued several times before the three panel Nevada Supreme Court and Appellate Court. He is often called upon to handle divorce and custody cases involving domestic violence, drug use, and the physical or emotional abuse of a child. Gregory* is one of the few attorneys to successfully sue Clark County and the Department of Family Services on behalf of parents and children in Nevada Federal Court.
While many attorneys may take one or two cases to trial per year, Gregory Mills* has successfully litigated more than 100 career trials. His experience as a trial attorney makes him particularly suited for cases where the legal issues are often more complex.
Gregory* has extensive experience litigating both abuse and neglect and termination of parental rights cases. He has represented every different type of client in these cases, including grandparents, biological and foster parents, guardians, Indian tribes, foster homes, and children. Because of his experience and reputation, Gregory* is routinely appointed by the court as guardian ad litem for children who are caught in the foster care system.
Gregory Mills* was a managing partner and member of the firm Mills, Mills and Anderson. However, Gregory* was recently elected to serve as a part-time Justice of the Peace in the Moapa Valley area and resigned as a partner with the firm. Gregory Mills* is currently designated as an independent contractor with the law firm Mills and Anderson. He continues to work on a limited basis with the firm on specific cases on an as needed basis.
Gregory* received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from UNLV and graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law. He and his wife live in Logandale, NV, with their two of their four children. He has two sons attending University of Nevada Reno.
